London, Earl’s Court. Together with Alicja we meet Mike and Matthew from Ekstasy, and last but not least, Suki. The purpose of the meeting is to finalize the conditions for signing the contract and to make sure that Suki is ready to work with us as the director on the Olive Green film. Suki is an incredibly creative and prolific director of commercials for global brands. He has also directed his own feature film Emulsion. The Blow Up clip by Suki will not leave you indifferent. I love it.

Most importantly, the meeting proves that Suki is real (not blown up ;-) ) and tentatively agrees to work with us. Apart from that, we discuss equipment, crew, actors, schedule, locations, and budget options along with their impact on the film. I am quite lost trying to negotiate conditions I have little idea about, so the meeting is more about getting information and confidence that we shall end up with a good product.

We seem to have reached an agreement. Matt finishes the meeting with a firm statement: “ALL RIGHT, LET’S DO IT!”. It will take us a couple of weeks to write and sign a formal contract, but it was this Monday morning in London when we irreversibly set off on this intriguing journey.
