Title and plot revealed (Spoiler alert!)

This is probably the moment when we should let in on what the film is going to be called and be about. And so, Ladies and Gentlemen, its title will be …

OLIVE GREEN

which is actually the full name of the main character in the film. The following is a short treatment of it, but DO NOT READ IT if you prefer to be surprised in January-February 2014.

Olive Green is a black comedy about an extremely talented young thief who is hired by a mysterious Client to steal a precious painting called “Thistle Flowers“ from Robert Murray – an upper-class, wealthy businessman living in the peaceful town of Old Berry.

Little does she know about Murray and his shady business. He is, in fact, quite an evil man of tremendous power and a network of associates in the London underground.

The theft triggers a chain of dramatic events: infuriated Murray seeks help of his friends – Russian mobsters, who go after Olive trying to prevent her by all means possible from delivering the stolen item to the Client who apparently wishes to use it to destroy Murray’s criminal activity.

But aside from psychotic Russian thugs trying to kill her, Olive is faced with another problem – a young policeman from Old Berry, named David, who fell in love with her while she was staying in the town, getting ready for the heist. He is a sweet man and it would be a lie to say she didn’t fancy him, but … The whole thing is just too much for him and keeping him out of harm’s way is quite a challenge, considering the circumstances.

Wojciech, our scriptwriter, has already sent the outline of the film to the production company. They liked it, but made some comments which should help make the film more engaging and easier to make in logistic terms. The project will now enter the preproduction phase with producers organising auditions and looking for suitable locations.
