Day 21 of filming

We spent the morning in the kitchen at the B&B, which is not a bad place of work with all the snacks and coffee around.

The first of the “kitchen scenes” shows David and his mum having a chat, shortly after the Murray’s painting has been stolen. David is taciturn when it comes to discussing the role of Olive in his life and the whereabouts of his car, which Olive has stolen. However, Mrs Owen can read her son like an open book and she is not impressed by his gullibility.

day21-1

At lunch time, it is Olive who takes over the kitchen to cook something Mexican for David. In this part of the film David and Olive’s relationship is in full bloom and as hot as the chilli peppers she is chopping!

In the afternoon, we finally get to meet Martin Willis. Michael Howe who is playing that character brings new energy to the set; he even suggests some changes in his character’s lines. But today there is not much of him talking to the camera; we just take a few shots of him sitting in his office and looking thoughtful.

day21-2

That brief scene ended Day 21 of filming. Tomorrow it’s Halloween and the “car day” on the set!
