We are happy to announce that we have found a scriptwriter for our film project! Funnily enough, he does not live in London or in Hollywood, but a few miles from our company headquarters in Poznań, Poland. His name is Wojciech and our film will be yet another large project he will be working on with us.
Wojtek – our scriptwriter
Wojciech has already written a comprehensive treatment of a film that seems interesting, easy to make, and very promising from the educational perspective (lots of not too boring dialogue scenes). We happily accepted it, so now he will focus on writing a detailed outline of the film, listing all the characters, places and major events. The outline will be then reviewed by the producer, becoming the basis for the actual script. Good luck, Wojciech! The following is a brief and rather unorthodox profile that he has provided himself: “Wojciech is a translator, editor, author of ELT multimedia and a webwriter. In addition to SuperMemo World, he has cooperated with, among others, Macmillan Poland, eTutor, Anglorama, PONS publishing house and a number of interactive agencies.
Professional activity
Being a committed freelancer, he is more than a little proud to have remained afloat for the last decade, successfully avoiding the shackles of corporate employment and starvation. The greater part of his work involves translating complex, sloppily written texts into treasures of literature. As a webwriter, he has provided captivating content, studded with keywords, for a number of most diverse web pages. Among the advertised products there have been snowploughs, IT services and adult entertainment. The differences between them have been surprisingly superficial.
Education
Wojciech holds an MA degree in English linguistics, has completed courses in computer graphics and film production and is now doing postgraduate studies in book publishing, wishing to join the ranks of those attempting to prevent the decay of the printed book.
Family life and hobbies
Wojciech is a doting father of two absolutely fantastic preschoolers, who will surely grow to become “princes amongst men”, unless, of course, they don’t want to. His wife is an outstanding translator, specialising in the intricacies of the Polish legal system. Their marriage – a union of two gloomy misanthropists who don’t even watch TV – is an example to follow for the millions of sociable and optimistic singles out there. Among Wojciech’s hobbies there are: English literature & films, particularly those having a good story (none of this introvert hipster gibberish), jogging and fooling around with his family. He is passionate about the Internet and new media, but detests all forms of social networks (even if occasionally he makes money using them as tools).
