The big night of the “Olive Green” premiere in the Apollo cinema in Poznan is behind us. We were glad to see many of our partners attend, as well as our friends, SuperMemo World employees, and the media. It was a great opportunity to talk to the project’s creators: the authors, the scriptwriter, the authors of the language course, the translators, and the programmers.
After a banquet and a short presentation of the project, the film was played for the first time on a big screen in front of a full auditorium. The screening was interactive: each game and interaction was played by the operator, who sometimes made mistakes, ran into a dead end, and had to repeat the game to make another choice. The audience cheered loudly, which made it a very responsible task to run the film, and the operators had to switch every now and again.
We all shared one thought that night: it is enormously rewarding to see the effects of our long work on the big screen, to know that we did a good job, and to hear the audience appreciate what we did. And most importantly, to see the audience have fun. Fortunately, they only laughed when the scriptwriter had intended them to ;-)
