Possible plot lines for our future film

Three months after our meeting in London, our British producer sent us nine brief treatments of films which they had developed, bearing in mind our expectations. We were very excited to read this stuff and as soon as we received it, we quickly distributed it among the people involved in the project on the part of SuperMemo, asking for their feedback.

Those were interesting and very diversified ideas. They ranged from gritty gangster films set in the London criminal underground, to violent thrillers inspired by the Saw franchise, to fantasy films about magicians opposing satanic forces, to light-hearted comedies about people discovering their real self, to action-packed science fiction flicks about elite special forces fighting evil corporations.

Truth be told, we had very mixed feeling about those nine concepts. It was obvious to us that Hollywood could turn any of them into a successful blockbuster. However, the problem was that we could not see how the educational component would fit in those plots. Our film, or at least the first part of it, would have to be suitable for people knowing ZERO English. The concepts suggested by our British partner were either too complex to start with, or they relied too heavily on action, whilst we needed quite a few dialogues to introduce a sizeable amount of linguistic material.

After some consideration we thought it would be a good idea to look for a scriptwriter that has a better understanding of the educational side of things, but knows how to write stuff that is fun to work with.
